From Milan to Salò car-free thanks to train+bus connection
Wednesday 19/07/2023
From Milan and Verona, it is possible to get to Salò without a car thanks to the train+bus connection: until 12 September, the R-LINK 204 line connects Desenzano and Salò directly in 42 minutes.
Passengers can reach Desenzano on trains on the Milan-Brescia-Verona line and from there travel by bus to Salò. R-LINK 204 runs make intermediate stops at Lonato, Padenghe, Moniga, Manerba and Raffa, providing interchange with other local public transport lines.
The R-LINK 204 line is active 7 days a week from 6:45 to 23:45. It provides one ride every 30 minutes in each direction. The bus schedules are designed to facilitate connections with trains on the Milan-Brescia-Verona line.
The activation of the R-LINK 204 line for the summer period is part of a larger plan devised by the Brescia Local Public Transport Agency with the aim of boosting the use of public mobility in the Lower Garda area, for increasingly sustainable transport in the tourist season.
Schedules for R-LINK line 204 are available at the link https://brescia.arriva.it/orari-e-percorsi/ by selecting the "Garda and Valle Sabbia" area; information for purchasing tickets can also be found on the website.
