FAQ
According to the regional project "Electronic Ticketing," starting from January 1, 2024, access to all Trenord services - including in the STIBM area - is only allowed with rechargeable electronic tickets and digital tickets.
Since some integrated operators with Trenord services have yet to transition to the new formats, temporary access to Trenord services is allowed with STIBM tickets on magnetic media, only if the tickets have been validated at devices of other operators authorized to validate such format. Manual validation is not allowed.
This measure has been adopted pending the transition to electronic and digital ticketing by other operators, as provided by the regional project "Electronic Ticketing".
You can only make one trip, in one of the directions indicated on the ticket
Any TRENORD ticket, booklet or season ticket that has Milano as its destination (including Malpensa Express tickets with a dedicated fare) can be used within the entire urban railway network of Milano and on all lines of the Passante Ferroviario.
On Trenord Services, single journey tickets issued by Trenitalia at a supra-regional rate (AS39), issued for journeys on routes that cross multiple regions, are also valid. Supra-regional fare tickets are valid for 4 hours from validation.
Trenord one-way tickets are valid 6 hours after the time chosen when purchasing the ticket.

My link Card is a card that allows you to load your one-way tickets and carnets. It is anonymous because it does not require any profiling.
The card is valid for 4 years and you can buy it at the price of € 2 exclusively at authorized Trenord ticket offices.
USE
Load a single-journey ticket or booklet on your card and pass the card to the validators for every trip; in case of simultaneous top-up of a single journey + a booklet (at regional or Malpensa rates) with the same departure station, when passing through the turnstiles or via validator, will be given priority to the single journey.
VALIDITY AND VALIDATION
Tickets loaded on the card are valid in both directions and only for one traveler.
Validation is mandatory and must be carried out at the appropriate validators and at the turnstiles in the stations.
