The RegioExpress Domodossola - Milano line connects the Ossola capital with Milano in less than two hours.

The Domodossola station represents an important connection for the north-west of Italy and with Switzerland, with lines not managed by Trenord, which lead to Locarno, Brig and Novara.

The line reaches Lake Maggiore, from the Piedmontese side, at Verbania - Pallanza and runs alongside it as far as Sesto Calende, where it crosses the regional Sesto Calende - Laveno.

In Gallarate, on the other hand, you can change trains with the regioexpress Porto Ceresio - Varese - Gallarate - Milano, the regional Luino - Gallarate - Milano, the suburban S5 and two cross-border lines, the S30 and the S50.

The same changes, except for the one with the S30, can be made in Busto Arsizio. Here it is also possible to reach, in a few minutes on foot, the Busto Arsizio Nord station, where the trains of the Malpensa - Milano Cadorna and Malpensa - Milano Centrale airport lines and the Novara - Saronno - Milano regional lines operate.

The trains of the RegioExpress Domodossola - Milano line also stop at Rho Fiera Milano, where they also cross the S6 and S11, and then enter Milano and arrive at their destination, Milano Centrale. Here trains depart for any destination, both regional and regioexpress lines. From Milano Centrale you can also reach the rest of Italy by train, with Intercity, Frecciarossa and Italo trains, and Europe, with Eurocity.

To move around the city of Milano, on the other hand, at the Milano Centrale station there are two ATM subway lines, the green M2 and the yellow M3, as well as numerous urban and extra-urban surface vehicles and parking lots for taxis, as well as various car rental companies. . In the area near the Milano Centrale station you can find numerous restaurants, clubs and hotels.

The RegioExpress Domodossola - Milano line touches various places of tourist interest: the city of Domodossola is the main city in the Ossola Valley, characterized by a beautiful center of medieval origin, it is an excellent starting point for excursions to the nearby valleys.

Verbania Pallanza, on Lake Maggiore, is one of the most characteristic villages of the lake, with its villas and palaces and, in particular, the most famous of them, Villa Taranto and its park, are absolutely to be discovered, from spring, with the splendid blooms, till autumn.

Stresa is also one of the most interesting places on the lake, here it is also possible to take the Navigazione Lago Maggiore boats and reach the Borromean Islands.

Also in Arona there are connections with the boats of the Navigazione Lago Maggiore and the town is home to villas and, a few kilometers away, the colossus of San Carlo Borromeo, also known as Sancarlone.

In Sesto Calende the Ticino river resumes its course, to which, in the city, the Museum of Natural Sciences of the Ticino Park is dedicated. Also interesting is the Archaeological Museum of the Golasecca civilization.

In Rho Fiera Milano, thanks to an underpass, you can reach the ATM subway station, red line M1, or head towards the new international exhibition center of the city Fiera Milano. For example, the Salone del Mobile, the Bit and the MICAM, world-renowned trade fairs, are held here. Furthermore, on the other side of the station, in the area where Expo Milano was hosted in 2015, reachable by a special pedestrian crossing, the MIND District project is under construction, with a university center, a hospital and numerous other services.
