The RegioExpress Bergamo - Pioltello - Milano line connects Bergamo and Milano in less than an hour, avoiding traffic and motorway tolls.

Bergamo station is an important railway hub for the north east of Lombardia. In fact, in addition to the Regio Express, there are also 4 regional lines: the Lecco - Bergamo, the Bergamo - Treviglio, the Bergamo - Brescia and the Bergamo - Carnate - Milano.

The trains of this line make very few stops and, after Verdello, stop at Pioltello, where they cross Verona - Brescia - Milano, Brescia - Treviglio - Milano and suburban S5 and S6.

After these two stations, we are already in Milano. The next stop is in fact Milano Lambrate, where you can find 3 regioepxpress lines, 3 regional lines and the suburban S9 Saronno - Seregno - Milan - Albairate, as well as high-speed and long-distance trains.

Milano Lambrate station is served by the green line M2 of the underground and surface services. Milano Lambrate is also located near the Lambrate Design District, or Ventura District, a particularly lively area during the Salone del Mobile and full of initiatives now all year round. One stop away by subway, a few minutes on foot, is the headquarters of the Politecnico di Milano.

The last stop is Milano Centrale, where trains leave for any destination, both regional and regioexpress lines. From Milan Centrale you can also reach the rest of Italy by train, with Intercity, Frecciarossa and Italo trains, and Europe, with Eurocity.

To move around the city of Milano, on the other hand, at the Milano Centrale station there are two ATM subway lines, the green M2 and the yellow M3, as well as numerous urban and extra-urban surface vehicles and taxi parking lots, as well as various car rental companies . In the area near the Milano Centrale station you can find numerous restaurants, clubs and hotels.

Some trains, on the other hand, make the Verdello, Pioltello, Treviglio Ovest, Milano Villapizzone and Milano Porta Garibaldi stops.

In Milano Porta Garibaldi you can find the regional and high-speed railway lines, from the surface station, while the suburban lines leave from the Milan Porta Garibaldi Passante station.

There are also two ATM metro lines, the green line M2 and the lilac line M5, bus and tram.

The Milano Porta Garibaldi station is very close to the new area of Piazza Gae Aulenti and the Samsung District, even the Palazzo di Regione Lombardia can be reached in a few minutes on foot.

Using the trains of the RegioExpress Bergamo - Pioltello - Milano line you can organize a day trip to a splendid and particular city. Bergamo, in fact, is divided into the Upper Town and the Lower Town, connected to each other by two funiculars. The Upper Town is a medieval jewel enclosed in the walls, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017.
