The Suburban line S8 Lecco - Carnate - Milano Porta Garibaldi connects Lecco to Milano Porta Garibaldi, passing through Calolziocorte and Carnate, then joining with the S7 in Monza, up to its destination. The service is carried out with a train every 30 minutes, which stops at every station.
In the Lecco station it joins the regioexpress line for Sondrio and Tirano and the regional Lecco - Bergamo, which also stops in Lecco Maggianico and Calolziocorte.
At Carnate it crosses the Seregno - Carnate line, carried out entirely by bus, and the Bergamo - Carnate - Milano regional line, which also crosses at Arcore.
In Monza it overlaps the S7 and crosses the lines for Como San Giovanni, Saronno or Albairate, Bergamo, Chiasso, Milano Centrale. It also stops at Sesto San Giovanni, where you can use the red subway M1, and at Milano Greco Pirelli, where you can take trains to Piacenza, Stradella, Brescia.
The Suburban line S8 Lecco - Carnate - Milano Porta Garibaldi ends at the Milano Porta Garibaldi station, where you can find the regional and high-speed railway lines, from the surface station, while the suburban lines depart from the Milano Porta Garibaldi Passante station.
There are also two ATM metro lines, the green line M2 and the lilac line M5, bus and tram.
With the S8 line the journey time from Lecco to Milano Porta Garibaldi is about one hour, from Lecco to Monza about 40 minutes.
