On Saturdays and holidays, five return services connect Lombardia to the beaches of Levante and Ponente
The “Sea Trains” are back: from 28 March to 28 September 2026, Trenord, in collaboration with Trenitalia, will resume its seasonal services to directly link the main stations in Lombardia to the Ligurian seaside resorts on Saturdays and public holidays.
For the 2026 season, the offer includes ten trips a day – five outbound and five return – connecting Como, Bergamo, Milano, Saronno and Gallarate to the rivieras of Ponente and Levante.
The service is active on Saturdays and public holidays on the following routes:
- Saronno – Taggia Arma
- Como S. Giovanni – La Spezia Centrale
- Bergamo – Ventimiglia
- Milano Porta Garibaldi – La Spezia Centrale
- Gallarate – Ventimiglia
The "Sea Trains" also stop at Monza, Seregno, Gallarate, Busto Arsizio FS, Legnano, Rho, Pavia and Voghera.
Tickets for the “Sea Trains” can be purchased at Trenord ticket offices, including the offices at Milano Porta Garibaldi, Milano Lambrate, Milano Bovisa, Saronno, Bergamo, Como San Giovanni, Seregno, Monza, Gallarate, Busto Arsizio FS, Legnano, Rho, Pavia and Voghera, the stations served by the trains.
Changes to the service
The “Sea Trains” service may undergo changes to the route, limitations or diversions due to maintenance and upgrading of the railway infrastructure planned by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI).
