Ukraine emergency - citizens fleeing the war can travel for free on Trenord trains
As already mentioned in the press release of March 14, 2022, in consideration of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, following the Ordinance of the Department of Civil Protection no. 876 of 03/13/2022 art. 3, we inform that Ukrainian citizens coming from Ukraine and subjects coming from Ukraine who enter the national territory as a result of the war, can travel for free on Trenord services to reach the first place of destination or reception in Lombardy or for transit to other regions, within the maximum term of 5 days from their entry into Italy.
The Ukrainian passport or any other document showing the origin from Ukraine - so specific Travel Tickets/Travel Concessions issued to interested parties by other European railways at the border of the Member States - are recognized as a concession to travel free on board Trenord trains.
Trenord also makes its assistance operators available to facilitate reception in railway stations, according to the instructions given by Prefectures and Civil Protection.
