Animal transport

On Trenord trains, you can transport:

• small pets, kept in a carrier measuring no more than 70x30x50 cm
• muzzled dogs on a lead, accompanied by a certificate from the canine registry.

For these types of pets, transport is permitted on weekdays (Monday–Friday) from 7–9.30 and 17.30–19.30.

Guide dogs are always permitted to travel by train if accompanying a blind person.

Transport of pets is free on Trenord trains on routes within the tariff boundaries of Lombardy, which can be consulted on the regional rail transport map.

To travel on supra-regional or cross-border routes, the purchase of an animal extra is obligatory, as laid down by the railway companies that manage the services.
