SUBURBAN AND URBAN ROUTES

suburban routes

urban routes

The S Lines provide a capillary network linking the surburbs to the centre of Milan by integrating the surface railway lines with the ‘Milano Passante’ (Milan’s cross-city railway). This system guarantees commuters and travellers a fast and frequent service that, in the urban area, is integrated into the metro network.

The service is active all year round, seven days a week, from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., with departures approximately every 30 minutes. The lines extend from the centre of Milan for over 30 km reaching the key destinations of Novara, Varese, Pavia, Garbagnate Milanese, Saronno, Como, Mariano Comense, Camnago-Lentate, Lecco, Seregno, Treviglio, Lodi, Albairate and Rho: a dense network that also serves numerous intermediate stops in the area.

In addition to the suburban lines that reach the city of Milan, there is also the S31 BRESCIA-ISEO line.
