The Suburban line S13 Pavia - Milano Passante - Milano Bovisa connects the university town of Pavia to Milano, crossing the Passante Ferroviario, stopping at all the small stations in the southern hinterland of Milano, with a train every 30 minutes.

Pavia is an important hub for railway traffic in Lombardia and northern Italy. Here, in addition to 5 regional lines, a Trenord regioexpress and the suburban S13, some trains that connect Milano and Genova also stop.

After stopping at Certosa di Pavia, Villamaggiore, Pieve Emanuele, Locate Triulzi, the S13 line reaches Milano Rogoredo, where it is possible to find connections with numerous lines: regional, regioexpress and suburban. In addition to Trenord services, some high-speed and long-distance trains also stop in Milano Rogoredo.

In the Milano Rogoredo station there is the yellow line M3 of the underground and various surface services, both urban and extra-urban. Milano Rogoredo station is not far from the Sky Italia headquarters and the Santa Giulia district.

From Milano Rogoredo, the trains of the S13 line enter the Passante Ferroviario, up to Milano Lancetti, also stopping at Milano Porta Garibaldi Passante. In the surface station, you can find the regional and High Speed railway lines, from the surface station. There are also two ATM metro lines, the green line M2 and the lilac line M5, bus and tram.

Milano Porta Garibaldi station is very close to the new area of Piazza Gae Aulenti and the Samsung District, even the Palazzo di Regione Lombardia can be reached in a few minutes on foot.

The last stop is Milano Bovisa, where you can change trains with the regional ones that go to Asso, Laveno and Varese, Novara, Como and the Malpensa Express to Milano Malpensa, Milano Domodossola and Milano Cadorna, or the suburban trains to Camnago and Mariano Comense. The Milano Bovisa station is close to the headquarters of the Bovisa Polytechnic.

Trains of the S13 line take about 30 minutes to cover the Pavia - Milano Rogoredo section, as many for the Milano Rogoredo - Milano Bovisa section. In total, the journey from Pavia to Milano Bovisa takes almost an hour.
