National Strike 2 October 2026

The trade unions CSLE and FI-SI have called a national strike across all public and private sectors; for the railway sector, this will take place from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on October 2, 2026, and may cause disruptions to train services in Lombardy.

Guaranteed service periods are not affected by the strike. Trains scheduled to depart by 10:00 AM (according to the official timetable) and due to reach their final destination by 11:00 AM will complete their journeys.

In the event of cancellations affecting airport service trains, non-stop replacement buses will be provided between:

• Milano Cadorna and Malpensa Aeroporto for the RE54 line. (From Milano Cadorna, buses will depart from Via Paleocapa 1.)
• Stabio and Malpensa Aeroporto for the S50 Malpensa Aeroporto – Stabio airport connection.
