Disabled Passengers


disabiliTRENORD is attentive to the needs of people with disabilities or reduced mobility who wish to travel by train.

To organise assistance, passengers are invited to contact Trenord on +39 at least 48 hours before departure.

In the absence of such prior communication, by notifying the station or on board staff in a timely manner, all reasonable efforts will be made to provide the necessary travel assistance to the disabled person or person with reduced mobility, in compliance with EC Regulation no. 1371/2007.

Passengers with disabilities can request the special annual pass, Io Viaggio Ovunque in Lombardia Agevolata from the Lombardy Regional Authority, which enables them to travel on all TRENORD trains at a special price. 

There are three types, depending on each situation. Details of the three brackets, along with the forms to request the card, can be found on the website of the Lombardy Region Authority [Italian only].

There are also other facilities available for disabled passengers:
Free travel for persons accompanying the disabled passenger;
Purchase of a ticket on board without having to search the on board personnel;
Access to trains for holders of the Carta Blu/Blue Card by Trenitalia (cannot be combined with other promotions).
