Milano Marathon
Take part in the "green" marathon in a sustainable way
On April 2 at the Milan marathon, all running, no cars.
The marathon is the queen of athletics and running is one of the sports that has grown the most in recent years. A pair of shoes, a road and willpower are all it takes to get started. From a few kilometers a day, to a marathon, the pace is not easy, but it comes much more natural than you think.
The Milan Marathon was the first event in Europe, in 2013, to receive the RESPORT CERTIFICATION, a certificate made in the USA issued by the Council for Responsible Sport on environmental and social sustainability of sporting events. On the occasion of its twentieth anniversary, Milano Marathon will enhance the #rungreen project, a collaboration between partners and institutions to make the event ever more sustainable.
And what better way to be sustainable than by traveling to Milan by train?
Take your train from any station in Lombardy and get off at Milano Porta Venezia, for the start of your race.
You don't have to think about parking or road closures, just run and experience the thrills of the marathon.
