Mostra: La Cina (non) è vicina. Badiucao.
From 13 November 2021 until 13 February 2022 Santa Giulia Museum in Brescia hosts “La Cina (non) è vicina. Baduicao. Opere di un artista dissidente” exhibit. The artist-activist Badiucao’s project is exhibited for the first time in Italy. Famous as the chinese-Banksy, he’s well known for his prosest art defying the chinese government and the censorship. The exhibition refers to the relationship between contemporary art and human rights and traces his artist life from the erlier days to his most recent Covid-19 pandemic-related works.
Paintings and multi-material installations face different themes with sharp irony such as human rights violation, censorship about covid-19, from the recent repression of the disagreement in Myanmar to the latest antipolitical protests of the Hong Kong population.
