Mostra “NOVECENTO. Il ritorno alla figurazione da Sironi a Guttuso”

After the exhibition that explored the Futurist universe, running at Palazzo delle Paure in Lecco from 22 July to 26 November 2023 is NOVECENTO. The return to figuration from Sironi to Guttuso.

The exhibition, curated by Simona Bartolena, produced and produced by ViDi cultural, presents more than 60 works by artists such as Mario Sironi, Carlo Carrà, Giorgio Morandi, Felice Casorati, Arturo Martini, Giacomo Manzù, Mario Mafai, Renato Guttuso and many others who, in the interwar period, advocated the Return to Order, that is, the call for figuration without disavowing the spirit of the early 20th century avant-garde of which they had been proponents.

Particularly striking is the room dedicated to Mario Sironi with works that well represent the artist's style in the period under consideration. But the exhibition does not lack other masterpieces, such as a rare landscape by Giorgio Morandi or the equally extraordinary Rovine painted by Afro in the 1930s.

The promotion, which cannot be combined with other concessions, is valid for the purchase of 2 discounted tickets (Trenord pass holder and one accompanying person). The valid IO VIAGGIO card must be presented to obtain the discount at the Exhibition ticket office at Palazzo delle Paure, Piazza XX Settembre.
