Musei Civici - Brescia
Brescia is a city rich in history and culture, also testified by the precious heritage kept in as many important monumental buildings that make up the Civic Museum System: the Museum of Santa Giulia, a UNESCO heritage site, which presents the traces of the long history of the city from the third millennium B.C to the Renaissance period; BRIXIA. Archaeological Park of Roman Brescia, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which includes the monumental remains of the IV Aula of the Republican Sanctuary, the Capitolium and the Roman Theater, as well as the splendid restored Winged Victory; the Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo with the important Brescia civic collections; the Luigi Marzoli Arms Museum which houses one of the finest European collections of armor and ancient weapons. The museums are managed by the Brescia Musei Foundation, which also includes the Cinema Nuovo Eden cultural center.
