Malpensa Linate SEA

Summer 2019. On July 27, Milan Linate airport closes to make itself more beautiful: three months of intense redevelopment works that will affect both the interior of the airport and the runway, which will reopen renewed on October 27th.

Milan Malpensa has been preparing for months to welcome Linate flights and passengers for the period of its closure, with over 18 million euros of infrastructure investments: from the new check-in area to the new gates for embarkation, from the increase in gates safety pre-filters to the adaptation of the baggage handling (BHS).

These interventions will allow Malpensa to cope with the extraordinary number of passengers due to the temporary closure of Linate. During the transition period, Malpensa will be more accessible, thanks to the strengthening of the connection services with Milan and to the joint commitment of Trenord, Municipality of Milan and Lombardy Region.

To facilitate airport mobility during these transition months, the Malpensa Express service will be upgraded to and from Milan Central / Milan Cadorna.
