PROPOSALS

Mantua-Peschiera Cycle Route [45km]
This is the most famous bike path in the area and connects Mantua with Peschiera del Garda (42km) following the River Mincio for a large part of the route. It is all paved, flat, and along the way you can visit natural gems such as the Bosco Fontana (8km from Mantua); Parco Bertone (16km from Mantua); the Parco Giardino Sigurtà (33km from Mantua); historic villages such as Borghetto (32km from Mantua), Monzambano (37km from Mantua), and Volta Mantovana (28km from Mantua); and special places such as the ancient icehouse of the Conti Custoza in Marengo (16km from Mantua).

Mincio Low Cycle Track
Following the course of the River Mincio to the south of the city, you skirt the Vallazza Nature Reserve and the Forcello Archaeological Park until you reach Governolo after about 30km where the Mincio plunges into the Po.

Ad-Hoc Proposals
When you rent your bike, the staff at Mantova Bike Experience is available to recommend the best itineraries to discover Mincio Park, a protected nature reserve in the Lombardy Region. The itineraries go around the lakes of Mantua, with the possibility of combining other routes (from 7 to 35km and average duration of 2-3 hours). This is an economical way to discover the natural side of Mantua, located at a short distance away from the historic centre, which you can also visit on the same day. Nature, history, and art within everyone's reach, in the city and classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. You can also add a boat excursion in the heart of the Mincio Valleys, departing from Grazie, an ancient fishing village and one of the most beautiful destinations in Italy, famous for the beautiful Sanctuary which is 8km from Mantua, all on a bike path. Another natural pearl is the Bosco Fontana, one of the last examples of lowland forest left in Lombardy; it is about 8km from the Bicigrill, all on a cycle track.

NOTES ON USE
